What is vascular laser treatment?
Vascular Laser are the treatments of choice for eliminating: *Spider Veins * Angioma/Spider, Cherry Angioma *Rosacea *Diffussed Redness/Flushing *Broken Capillaries *Scars: acne scars, Keloid Scars, *Port-Wine Stain(Birthmarks) *Leg Veins
How does it work?
Laser energy passes through the skin’s surface. The dilated or broken capillaries are damaged from within, as the hemoglobin heats up. As a result , the walls of the blood vessels collapse. Blood can no longer flow through or pool in the capillaries, leaving the overlying skin less red, and vessels cleared.
FAQ
You may feel a slight stinging, burning sensation, similar to a rubber band snapping on the skin.
Every lasers require different treatment protocol, some require a cooling gel applied to the skin, with cool air blowing at the time of treatment, this helps minimize any discomfort,while keeping surface skin safe.
Other laser have a cooling shot of Cryogen to help cool area at time of treatment.
Clients report this treatment as relatively pain free, according to individual pain threshold.
Smaller vessels can be eliminated after a single treatment, while larger vessels/Matting , more stubborn vessels may require multiple(1-3) treatments.
Laser therapy is most effective for small veins, and NOT used to treat Varicose Veins.
Following post treatment care instructions is most important to ensure best results.
